Sheilah Belle “The Belle”

Sheilah Belle “The Belle” has worked in the field of broadcast news, journalism and with the press for over 30 years. She is the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of The Belle Report now entering its 25th year of publishing which has become one of the top Music Industry go to platforms for Gospel and Inspirational News.
The Belle is the Music Director and Stellar Award nominated Announcer of the Year Mid-Day (10am to 3pm) /personality for Radio One’s Praise 104.7FM, 100,000 watts station, which is also the most powerful Radio One Gospel station in the country based in Richmond, VA.
She is the COO of the Gospel Industry Network (G.I.N.) and President and Founder of RVA Music Creatives, Arts & Entertainment.
Among her many honors, Ms. Belle was also inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2005, honored by the Gospel Music Workshop of America Gospel Announcers Guild, with the Print Media Award and the Crystal Mic Award. She has worked as a Media Consultant and Publicist for Music Outlets and Independent and national artists. She also received two three year appointments by then Virginia Governor Douglas L. Wilder to serve on the Status of Women, named as one of the 1000 points of Light by President George Bush, and tapped as one of the 5,500 “Community Hero’s to carry the Olympic Flame in Virginia during the cross country torch relay in 1996 and 2002..
Ms. Belle is also a recipient of the Rhythm of Gospel Print Media Award and numerous Community Service Awards. She has received two appointments by then Virginia Governor Douglas L. Wilder for Women Equality. She has worked as a News Reporter for BET, WWL TV 4 in New Orleans, WRIC-TV, Richmond, VA, The Light and the Sheraton Broadcasting Network, Health Producer for the ABC Richmond, VA TV affiliate, Hosted the Faith on Friday segment on NBC TV-12 Richmond, VA affiliate and Talk Show Hostess from New Orleans to New York for television and radio.
She has interviewed and met with some of the most powerful voices in the world, including, Nelson Mandela, Coretta Scott King, Rosa Parks, Muhammed Ali, Former President Barack Obama, Former 1st Lady Michelle Obama, Janet Reno, Jesse Jackson just to name a few.
She owns East Coast Gospel Music Summer Fest, The Belle Report Entertainment News Update, Ma & Popop Productions, Inc., The Gospel Times Newspaper, The Gift, The Belle Report,
www.thebellereport.com and LaBelle & Associates (a PR, Promotions and Marketing company).
The Belle is also the visionary, creator and producer of one of the largest outdoor Gospel Concerts on the East Coast under the name of Gospel Music Fest with The Belle, now entering its 14th year with crowds as large as 12,000.
The Belle also created Digital Social Media Connect with The Belle to help our seasoned community navigate through Social Media. She has held classes in Houston, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and throughout Virginia just to name a few locations.
In 2016, Ms. Belle was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, however after much prayer and medical treatment, her doctors reported that they were no longer able to find cancer in her body. On Saturday, March 18th, 2017, The Belle shared her testimony of healing before a crowd of 5,000 at Transformation Expo, one of Radio One’s largest events.
In 2017 “The Belle” as she is affectionately called, was appointed to the Board for the Baptist General Convention of Virginia. In June 2017 she received the Empowerment and Recognition Award from Kimberly Towns Ministries and the 2017 Woman of Wealth Trailblazer Award from New Generation International Ministries. In July 2017, The Belle also was recognized by the GMWA Alliance and GAG Sisterhood as a Trailblazer and Media Mogul.
Ms. Belle received her licensure for ministry in November 2018 and received her ordination from The Saint Paul’s Baptist Church in Richmond, VA on November 20, 2022.
Most recently, The Belle served as the guest speaker for Cancer Link, the Over Combers Club, served as the Team Captain for the St. Jude Walk/Run to end childhood cancer and has adopted and now mentor students at John Marshall High school where she meets with students to help them understand their gifts, talents and their abilities to reach for the stars and obtain their goals and dreams.
On Saturday, March 9, 2024, The Belle released her first book, Journey to the Journey: Mind, Body and Soul to the world with raving reviews and continuous invites to preach and speak about the many lessons she shared within her book.
On April 16, 2024, Ms. Belle received a certificate of Congressional Recognition from the 18th District of Texas and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee on the recognition of her book Journey in the Journey: Mind, Body and Soul.
Ms. Belle was most recently named as one of the 2024 Urban Soul Café Honorees and recipient of The Rite Award in Las Vegas, NV.
The Belle is now recognized and has become a highly requested Inspirational speaker sharing platforms with Phylicia Rashad, Angela Bassett, Niecy Nash and Bishop T.D. Jakes as she continues to grow her ministry to inspire and uplift others. The Belle, who is now an ordained Reverend, is doing more speaking engagements in Churches, Music Workshops, Conferences, and Non-Profit Organizations with topics ranging from Ministry to Social Media.
Carleen N. Roberts
Carleen Roberts is a devoted wife, mother, author, Servant of the Lord, and Founder of the My Wife Can’t Cook cooking show. With a lifelong passion for teaching, Carleen has been inspiring, encouraging, and uplifting women worldwide. Her motto, “share the code”, emphasizes her belief that everyone should share their success with others to achieve mutual success.
Her vast experience in many issues revolving around women has given her a platform to share nuggets of wisdom and knowledge that help women around the world become better versions of themselves. A proud budding author, Carleen has written “A Breakthrough Journal” for women to document their progress in achieving a breakthrough. She is also the brains behind A Breakthrough Brunch, which is an event held twice a year to empower women to rise above their current circumstances.
In her debut literary works, Carleen introduces her readers to the journal, which is a tool for helping one to overcome all trials and tribulations that have held them back. She gives her readers a sense of purpose and commitment to accomplish their goals and set themselves up for success. Her journal captures the readers’ minds with artistic writing that is simple, easily understandable, with a smooth flow, and a great style that gets readers hooked on reading it from start till the end.
As a Pastor and Leader at her church, El Beth El Community Cathedral, which is under the leadership of Bishop Joseph Roberts Jr. and Pastor Michelle Roberts, Carleen has dedicated her life to helping others. She regularly visits women’s shelters throughout the county to provide food and encouragement. Her philanthropy has caught the attention of others as she has been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer and on Channel 6 news for her philanthropic endeavors at the women’s shelters.
A firm believer in continuous learning and self-development, Carleen is currently working on her first book, in which she aims to inspire women to be well put together from the inside out. Her ultimate goal is to establish a facility that can house women who are struggling and in need of assistance. Carleen’s devotion to serving others and empowering women to achieve their potential is an inspiration to all who know her.
